When is the NC Jaycee Year-End Convention?

  • The NC Jaycee Year-End Convention is from January 29-31, 2010 in Raleigh, NC.

Where are the trainings and other events held?

  • Most trainings and events will be held at the Raleigh Sheraton at 421 S. Salisbury St Raleigh, NC 27601. When you arrive at the Sheraton check the information boards to determine which rooms the specific events will be held in. Some events, such as the Jaycees on the Capitol will be held in various locations close to the Sheraton. Check the Schedule of Events to learn more about the times and places for these events.

How do I register online for the convention?

  • To register online you'll need to select the type of registration you want to sign up for. There is a Full Registration, Friday Only Registration, Saturday Only, and Training Only Registration (open to the public). After you determine the type of registration you want, you'll have to fill out all the fields on the registration form and then click the "Add to Cart" button. This will add your registration to the PayPal cart. From the PayPal screen you can either continue with your checkout or you can return to the Convention website to register another person by filling out the registration form again and clicking the "Add to Cart" button. After you've finished adding all the registrations to your cart, proceed to check out with an acceptable form of payment.

Are there other methods for registering other than online?

If I'm not a NC Jaycee can I still register for a training?

  • Yes, the North Carolina Junior Chamber is proud to offer two professional development training sessions for only $30 to local young professionals on Saturday, January 30. Please see the Training ONLY Registration to learn more about the sessions and how to register.

Are there age restrictions for registration?

  • Convention attendees must be between the ages of 21-40.

What forms of payment do you take for registering for convention?

  • You can pay online via PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, or E-Check. If you need to coordinate another type of payment, please contact the 2009 Year End Convention Committee to arrange registration and payment.

Once I arrive at convention, how do I check-in?

  • Check-In/Registration will be from 2-6pm on Friday, January 29 and 7:30am-12:00pm on Saturday, January 30 at the Sheraton Hotel. When you first arrive review the information boards inside the hotel to see where the Check-In/Registration will be.

May I register "at the door"?

  • Due to planning purposes, there will NOT be registration at the door.

Is hotel registration included in the price of the convention registration?

  • Registering for convention is separate from arranging your hotel registration. To make a hotel registration at the Sheraton Raleigh hotel, please call (919) 834-9900 and ask for the "NC Jaycee Statewide Convention" block when reserving a room or give the group ID 9488.

What is the cancellation policy for cancelling my convention registration?

  • You will not receive a refund if you need to cancel your convention registration. You may transfer your registration to another attendee, but refunds will NOT be given for cancellations. Please contact the 2009 Year End Convention Committee to transfer your registration to another attendee. If you need to cancel your room reservation at the Sheraton Raleigh, please contact the hotel directly at (919) 834-9900.

Can I get a discounted price if I can't attend the entire weekend of events?

  • If you only want to attend the events on Friday the price is $40. If you only want to attend the events on Saturday the price is $45.

What is the dress code for the weekend?

  • The dress code varies throughout the weekend. Check the Schedule of Events to learn more about the suggested dress code for the various events.

Where can I get more information about the Raleigh, NC area?

What are the parking options if I'm only coming for the day?

  • There are parallel parking spots downtown (most of which are free) or several different Parking Decks/Lots in the area.
  • The City of Raleigh will be holding a special event downtown the weekend of Convention, therefore, the City has determined that there will be special event parking for the duration of that weekend. To that end, if you have reserved a room at the hotel and park in the Sheraton's secured lot, your room will be charged $7 per night (for Friday and Saturday nights) per car. If you are not staying at the Sheraton, you may park at the adjacent City Parking Deck for $7 per night (for Friday and Saturday nights) as well. More information will be provided to convention attendees closer to convention. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
